ACTIVITIES “Prevention is better than cure day” was celebrated on 19 01. 2020 with huge success at Mantra Chiriyamore Branch. This event was partnered by our Kidney Health Partner Kidney Care Society , Eye Health Partner Lenskart , Our Diagnosis Health Partner The Doyen Diagnosis Lab , Our Lung Health Partner Cadena Medical System , Our cancer awareness partner Zyduy Cadila and Our Health Insurance Partner Star health Insurance ,to support our vision for "Prevention is better than cure" More than two hundred free tests with different parameters like Blood, ECG, Kidney profile , Pulmonary Function test(PFT) for Lung ,Refraction for Eye , made the event a complete Health Check up Bonanza for our Dumdum Chiriyamore and Tobinroad Branch members and they took these opportunities with both hands by participating in a huge numbers , but the high point of the event was the Health Awareness seminar . ACTIVITIES Mantra Barrackpore branch celebrated "prevention is better than cure" day with great vigour and enthusiasm .More than 100 members got their eyes checked by the famous optical retail brand Himalaya and had the opportunity to get their blood pathology test done by one of the largest pathology Diagonostic centres of India Apollo Clinic . The most interesting part of the event was the seminar on prevention is better than cure and organ donation . Dr. Dibyendu Dutta., Professor Anatomy Sagar Dutta Medical collage .Mr Uttam Das chairman Barrackpore minicipalty .Mr Suprovat Ghosh Vice chairman Barrackpore municipulty .Mrs Camile Jehnson , renowned social worker and Mr. Subhabrata Bhattacharjee , Founder director Mantra Health Club and Secretary MIHFM addressed various important topics during the seminar. Mr Uttam Das and Mr Suprovat Ghosh express their solidarity for such program . Dr Dibyendu Dutta explained the importance of organ donation in the society, specialy for developement of medical education standards.He further requested all present to not waste our bodies by cremating rather donating bodies for the betterment of our society. Mr. Subhabrata Bhattacharjee concluded the seminar by promising to donate his body and taking an oath to take the notion ahead and making people more aware of organ donation. With this seminar at Mantra we witness the start of a new beginning of body donation movement.

International Yoga Day began

ACTIVITIES On 19th of May the countdown for the with zest and was inaugurated by our defense minister Shri Rajnath Singh at the Delhi Cantonment. 62 cantonments of the Indian Army participated in the event. out of the 62 cantonments, 6 cantonments, including the Delhi headquarters joined the event through webcast. Barrackpore cantonment also joined the event through the webcast. Mantra Lifestyle Club is extremely fortunate to have got the privilege to conduct the yoga demonstration at the historic Mangal Pandey park on behalf of Barrackpore cantonment. We had more than 200 students of different schools of Barrackpore and army officials present at the venue early morning to practice asanas and pranayama. Mr. Subhabrata Bhattacharjee, founder and director of Mantra Health Club led the program along with two instructors- Anindita Chakraborty and Soma Sarkar. The event turned out to be a huge success and had all participants taking an oath to practice yoga regularly and imbibing the yogic way to lead a healthy life. Team Mantra would like to express it's heartfelt gratitude to the CEO of Barrackpore cantonment for extending this opportunity of demonstrating yoga asanas in front of the Defense minister and other noted dignitaries.
